Where can I find information on the T&P steam engine #241? It was manufactured at the Marshall, TX T&P shops. That is all I know.
DT Pearce,
It would help if you knew the wheel arrangement. Did a quick search at the Index of Magazines using “T&P” as the search term. Over 70 citations were returned:

several of which are for steam locomotives. Perhaps your local public library can get
one of the books cited on Inter Library Loan, but you may have to pay a fee. With luck, a T&P fan will suggest a better source, such as an historical society.

Bob,
Thanks for your response. I have learned, I think, that it was a 4-6-0, Class D-7, manufactured by Baldwin in12/1897. I’m still interested in any info on T&P #241 that I can find.
Thanks,
Derrell Pearce
Derrell,
The historical society listed at trains.com for the Texas & Pacific is the Missouri Pacific Historical Society:
http://mopac.org/
Suggest you visit their site and possibly contact them. Also, you may want to post your query on the Prototype information for the modeler forum.
