To Dave, who is building a fabulous new layout for his entire operating crew to enjoy and who, like Tom Sawyer, is letting us build it much as Tom’s friends whitewashed the fence.

To Micro Engineering, who supplies the track and rail to build the turnouts for Dave’s fabulous new layout.

To Fast Tracks, who supplied the jigs for building the turnouts (all 140 of 'em) for Dave’s fabulous new layout. Only 100 left to build.

To Minion Chuck and Minion Mike (aka AndreChapelon), who, together, have built half of the 40 turnouts required for the Monterey Branch section on Dave’s fabulous new layout.

To Red’s Donuts in Monterey that supplied a dozen donuts to the crew assembling the helix on Dave’s fabulous new layout.

To AndreChapelon, who paid for the donuts at Red’s which supplied much needed sustenance to the crew assembling the helix on Dave’s new layout.

To Andre’s wife, who actively encourages Andre to get out of the house and go help build Dave’s fabulous new layout. HUH? Wait a minute…

I just bring 'em. Other people are responsible for the rest.

We got the first of 5 helix turns in place, track laid and a celebratory test train run to end of track. We do good work and nobody could be more surprised about that than we are.
