i wish to thank everyone for their input.i already have a set of starrett pin vises on the way.a note to grampys trains i have one of the micro-mark vises that fit my dremel.i have stripped the threads trying to get it to bite a #76 drill bit.thanks again to all who answered my call for help. tuxedo

Keep us posted how you like your Starrett pin vises. Also, in the future it would be better if you responded with this in the original thread rather than creating a brand new thread. That way your input “travels” with the original thread and isn’t located in two separate locations.
