My son and built this for a layout in PA in 1999. We took it off that layout and put it into my layout in KS. We took it out when when we moved to CA. United didn’t deliver it. They packed in a closet box. We are wondering if any has had that happen in moves. We most likely won’t get it back.
FedEx hardly ever gets stuff here, and usually when it does get here it’s been opened or sat out in the weather. The driver flat out lies and says he delivered it, but amazingly it’ll be signed for by whoever it got delivered to, even though he says it’s at our house. We’ve had they manager come out and drive around til he found it before, we happened to know where it was that time, so we told the people what was going on and they played along.

Hey, I’ve had packages of trains delivered to condo # 4. I live in #43. What’s so difficult about telling the difference between 4 and 43? This was with the post office. That has happened more than once. Luckily my neighbor gave them to me. I think the guy got tired of walking and said 4 was close enough.[:(!]
I have had the same problem with UPS, and will NOT use them any more. Surprisingly enough, I have had better service from the good old Postal Service than any of the “other guys”. Only drawback is it doesn’t run on federal holidays.
