Nice runners–
Well…this will be my one and only steam engine for the layout, so I wanted a nice one I could impress visitors with…they all seem to want to hear the choo choo sound as opposed to my nice selection of Diesels [:)]
I run a Western layout but couldn’t resist at that price. (I grew up in NYC land) I bought the last remaining version with the Roman lettering and standard tender. Cab #5312. I’ve tried googling for some prototype pics and also info. on the PT-4 tenders if anyone can point out a good link…I may have to run it when no one else is around
Looking forward to reports on the automatic/programmed stops feature.
Here are a couple of pictures from the Fallen Flags website with the PT-4 tenders. For some reason the prototype pics with the PT-4s look a lot better than the BLI model does with that tender type.

Thanks for the pictures. I bought the PT-4 tender unit, so I hope it doesn’t look too bad. Although what would I know…
This isn’t going to make Mike Wolf happy. I sense litigation on the horizon.
If one sees that tender on the BLI as not being QUITE true to the photo above then-----?
So the next question is from this little one—did, do rather, does, anyone make the above with a PT-4 tender?
Thanks for the fallen flags link. (I forgot about that site-excellent site!) I was interested in learning what the PT tenders were exactly. Longer than standard with higher capacity the main thing? Were there oil versions? I was surprised that a google search didn’t come up with much more than a million BLI dealer listings! Thanks.
