That Little Voice That Announces Speed.

On some engines you can get an audible speed announcement. I was wondering if anyone has checked to see how accurate this little man is?

“Little man”. [banghead]

So now, you are discriminating against another group of people. [:-*]

Is there no end to this, Batman? [8o|]

Oh-Oh. Looks like I hit a soft spot. Better come on in and tell me all about it.

Tried to pace one with my car, now I’ve got a sedan stuck in the basement[D)]

Better watch it. Somebody might report you to the ASPDLM (American Society for the Prevention of Ddiscrimination Against Little Men).

And why can’t little women do this job? They’re perfectly capable of doing the same silly announcements as little men.

Actually, Mike, on the new TCS WowSound decoders it IS a woman’s voice for the CV programming prompts. And I think that’s a great idea because I generally find the male voices less intelligible.

To answer your question, Brent, they are reasonably accurate. I still prefer to use a set distance and my homemade scale speed table.

Tom

You mean they actually listened![:O]
