The 2355 Western Pacific Original Outfit

Does anyone know what the original freight cars were that came with the 2355 Western Pacific in 1958-59? I found a Western Pacific in a box with about ten freight cars all from the same era and want to put it together as it was issued. Many thanks for your assistance.

Oops, I was told the Western Pacific was from 1953, not 1958-59

I am fairly sure that the Western Pacific engines were separate sale only and never came in sets.

Confirming what Roger has said, Lionel did not assemble a catalog set for the Western Pacific F-3s. CTT recently published the specvial edition magazine Lionel Trains The Goden Years 1950-54 and devoted almost an entire article to the mystery surrounding production of the Western Pacific, including a teaser in an advance catalog for an aluminum passenger set that was never produced. The only car, a box car, was produced as a separate sale item in 1953, and that is about the extent of production for that road name, unfortunatetly. Lionel could have produced a California Zephyr, headed by either CB&Q Burlington, Denver & Rio Grand Western, or Western Pacific F3s.

I’ll also say that the 2355’s were produced in 1953 and were sold as separate sale only.
