The 4th annual Spring Windup 2011

I thoroughly enjoyed this video. I really hope there is a fifth annual!!

Loved the video. Fantastic, smooth tracking shots. Were those done with a Steadycam of some sort?

If weather is a perennial problem it would be great to see these models at the indoor, living garden railway that is installed at Milwaukee’s Mitchell Park Conservatory just after the winter holidays. One weekend of the show is dedicated to live steam, it would be great to have another day or weekend dedicated to windup.

That was a great video. Especially the outtakes. I just love watching them roll down the line and suddenly lose a car. I really do hope there will be a fifth annual because I enjoy watching these videos very much.

Hopefully this isn’t the final Spring Wind-Up, 'cause you guys got a lot of new stuff in this video!

I don’t know who built that LNWR Precursor loco (the black 4-4-0 speed demon), but they did a real fine job. LNWR forever!

This is the purest of fun. Will be seeing the first annual SUMMER windup?

Wonderful stuff!

Thanks Marc,

I love these things, and always look forward to the next video!

It touched my memory of a time when I had a similar wind-up engine back in the late forties. I wonder whatever happened to the engine? I don’t recall any of the rolling stock.

You had rain - try Scotland to model in! Do enjoy these videos.

great fun !

A lot of fun !!!

What great fun, opens up another great part of “Toy Train” collecting and operating… hope they can keep it going…

A few minutes of sheer enjoyment!

That was most entertaining to watch and looks like everyone was having a good time. Didn’t know there was still interest in the old “wind-ups”. Glad to see there is, really reminded me on my childhood trains.

I have found a picture of my brother and me with a wind-up (much like the red streamliner with yellow trim) under the Christmas tree in probably the very early 1950s. I wish I had it now! Fun video! --Bob

We need an article on getting the most out of our windups. I could use the article.

Graet to watch and hopefully there will be another next yr

never knew these existed in g-scale. Awesome! Would like to see more and now i’m motivated to set up my garden scale loco.

I still get a big kick out of this video. Hope it is not the last. Keep it going.
