I love the Union Pacific. The 4-8-8-4 Big Boy is my all time favorite locomotive that ever ran the rails. I have always been a major fan of the Union Pacific Railroad even through all of the bad press that it has been recieveing. In fact the good majority of what I own is Union Pacific equipment.
So you gonna go see the 844 she is currently in San Antonio today only on display. I imagine the concession coach is in tow with lots of goodies on board. Only a couple of hours away for you well worth ethe drive. Not sure if your a memeber but join the UPHS the publication The Streamliner comes 4 times a year and is packed with nothing but UP stuff. Also as a member you get discounts for all the merchandise they sell: Ehrenberger has lots of books with tons of photos of all the steam locomotives UP used.
