Hi Fergie, glad to see that you aren’t incommunicado. I sort of took your advice, and got this thing started as something of a diversion. It should be a constructive fun place to talk, not necesarily about trains. The guys on CTT really like theirs, and tell jokes and fishing stories and everything else. It brings the members closer together, and turns them back into people in this impersonal medium.[8D]
Hi Yal
John here from Montrerey Va I’m modeling the sante fe in N scale during WWII and I am getting a lot done.I have run into a problem on SF 4-8-4’s they are without Pantograph stack lifters, what should I do?
I’m still bitter about Molitor scoring 4 runs against the Jays several years ago after he was a Jay himself. I spent big bucks to see that game in sky dome
Yeah Jerry, I was!!! My son kept score, and we almost won at TWINGO. You don’t see too many 1-2-3 double plays. The top of the 8th was hard to watch, two outs on two pitches, then right in the toilet, let them tie the game. Of course Toronto’s bullpen didn’t know what to do with the gift, so they gave it back.[swg]
Where’s Robmik??? He’s probably still watching hockey!!![:p][:D][8D]
What do you expect from a home town boy Fergie. We only loaned him to the Jays for a while. May 12th is Paul Molitor Hall of Fame night at the dome. He will probably choose to snub us both and go in in a Milwaukee uniform.[;)]
Yes, thank you for properly titling this forum topic[:D][:)][8D]
This is a great idea. I look forward to this topic and getting to know you guys better.
By the way, you guys with 4 and 5 stars, how many hours a day do you spend on here anyway. I have been on this forum from the VERY BEGINNING and don’t have 3 yet. Maybe I’m just not as opinionated as y’all [:D]
By the way, I’m Ron, an N-scaler from central MO who, contrary to my user id, models BNSF. I live along the old MoPac Sedalia sub and used to model it, but no more.
I look forward to getting to know y’all better here.
Hi Ron, the answer to your question is WAY TOO MANY. Part of why I have so many posts is I subscribe to 3 of the magazines, so I am active on 3 forums. The other thing is that I don’t work for a living in the traditional sense. Those two things give me motive and opportunity. I happen to be number 5 on the all time post list, but moving up fast.
Some of my posts involve opinion, others are made trying to share information and answer questions, and some are just simply for fun. One way that the post count just flys along is by getting involved in a conversation. Suddenly posts come in clumps of 3 or 4 at a time. Also, in the process you get to know people and make friends (or in a few rare cases enemies).
I have actually exchanged emails with most of the people who have responded to this topic up to this point. I do get around.[:D][8D]
Hello, everyone. Lately I’ve been working on a small diorama depicting a scene near Sherman Hill. It measures about 11" x 12". Not very large, but I’ve managed to cram some near rock work in it. I’ve always wanted to try modeling Wyoming scenery.
The diorama will be used to display small locomotives and freight cars. Just thought I’d tell ya’ll. [:)]
Is there a nice Kenyan Blend available? Smooth start and nice finish!
Hello to everyone out there from Brunswick MD.
If your looking for a chat room with no download and open to all platforms,(Mac, Windows, Linux) check out brrm.net/forum. There is ussually someone there every evening.
Hey Ya’ll, Which is good Southern for hello to everyone. I think this is a great idea. I love coffee and getting to know the folks on these forums better will be good. I’ve just gooten started on the last major revision on my layout, increasing curve radius and frog numbers. I enjoy trackwork, but I’m really looking forward to getting it done and getting back to building scenery and other parts of the hobby. It will take a while though because it’s springtime in the mountains and it’s hard to stay inside when it’s so beautiful outside.
Have Fun,
Tom Watkins
I finally got around to finishing the passing siding on my mainline today.
After 2 weeks of putting it off, it’s finally off of my things to do list.
YEY! WOOHOO
Now, all I have to do is fini***he rest of the track work & I’ll buy the round of coffee
afterwards.
Oh man I couldn’t believe it when I read it, someone else who really knows how to make great NAVY COFFEE, NAAAAA, so to the profile I go, YA , he’s old enough to know. I haven’t had coffee like that since the old “LEX” in the gulf of Mexico back in 1966/67, when I was attached to VT25 out of Beeville Texas. Back then we flew F-9 Cougars and used the old “LEX” for bounce practice and Carrier Qual’s. Some of the best chow I ever had in the Navy. Hey LUPO, you would have had a blast on board, they really served grits and scrapple at breakfast and beyond a doubt, some of the best coffee I ever had. [:)][:)][:)]Hey, I think I’ll open a restaurant and call it “THE GALLEY”. Anyone for a great cup-o-coffee???[:D][:D][:D]
