This time there is no going back, no repairs will be made, no more time will be spent/wasted.
I would like to say a big thankyou to all the guys/gals who have helped me and countless others in this hobby through this forum. Your knowledge was invaluable to me as I know it is to many others and I applaud the ease and sentiment with which you share it.
I will probably stop by now and then to see how you all are progressing and will check out the weekend photo fun to admire all of your work. But for me the end is now. I enjoyed my time here with you all immensly and thank you for the smiles (and everything else) that you gave me.

I used a flash for once, as I didnt really care if the colour washed out or the realism of the scenery was lost in the bright colour.

Karl, this is most upsetting for me. I can’t get over it! I know the vow was for better or for worse, but you never said you wouldn’t try to make it better.
If it is the last thing you say to us for a long while, please say that you (the collective “you”) are getting professional help. At least we would have hope for one of our own.
You will be sorely missed by all of us. Your work is truly inspiring. You obviously have a great love for the hobby. I’m sure you have thought it, but could you not just put a lock on the door to protect your RR from hurricanes?

I’m very new to this my first and only Model RR forum and the image in your signature is one of the first that really wowed me. I have no idea what’s going with you that have you quitting on your layout and the hobby but remember this man, true talent, sometimes go dormant but never away.

Dear Karl, A sad ending indeed. I can’t imagine the deep sorrow you must be feeling to walk away from something you love so much. But what ever you do, you must do what is right for your family. I have had very low periods in my life, but prayed hard about it and made the right decisions, and life got a lot better.

I don’t know what to say. The issues here will not go away with the passing of your layout. When you decide to come back, you will be welcome. I haven’t tried the glasses yet. It is true talent when you take a problem such as Harry Potter’s glasses and do what everone says can’t be done.
