Rather bizarre. Almost beyond the love of trains…but is quite amazing
Actually a neat chilling-out space. In a way, this reminds me of N.C.I.S. – How did Leroy Jethro Gibbs get that boat out of his basement?
He is nuts, but i like it! [:P]
[:-^]
That’s why RAPIDO units are so great.
Attention to detail.
Wonderful work there Jason.
Johnboy out…
It’s nice but a layout would have been nicer!

I’ve seen that already on Rapido’s newsletter. Not something I would do in my basement but it does look very realistic. So now I know why my cabooses haven’t been built yet. The owner of Rapido has been building a life size version of a passenger car in his house, lol.
This would have been really cool in the back yard as a guest house or office but in the basement?
LOL
Hey, leave Jason alone.
I am still trying to convince him to put out a line of red and gray Monon passenger cars.
How about it, Jason?
Rich
We had a neighbor who kept a Wells Fargo stagecoach in the basement, with no way to get it out, looked to me as if it had been there since retirement! I wondered, and still do to this day, how it got there as there were no exterior doors large enough to accomidate its girth and height.

Way to go, Jason!
Like Johnny Cash’s Cadillac probably. One piece at a time.
Interesting but from my perspective, would be cooler if it was used as a home theater space or better yet if it was used to house a model train layout. But that’s just me…
Well I’m feeling somewhat better than I did this morning. Seems my eyes are quite dilated though. I took a look outside a little while ago and felt like my eyes were going to get burned out. It’s a bright sunny day. Too bad the temperature is only 47. It’s a nice day otherwise.
Cool…I recall seeing a video where a a fella built a F7 cab in his basment.
I remember that one, too, Larry. IIRC, he could control one train on his layout from it…
The video reminded me of the old joke about the two tipsy guests at the Waldorf-Astoria who were wandering around the lobby looking for a restroom. One opened a door on a dingy staircase and went down.
A minute later he popped back up and told his buddy, “I was just in the basement, and, boy, you should see the train set down there!”
(I don’t know if I’d define the interlocking at Grand Central Station as a, “Train set…”)

Thanks Johnboy and everyone! It was a lot of work, but definitely worth it.

Jason, where are those red and gray Monon cars that you promised??? [;)]
Rich
Reminds me of the Golden Deli on Staten Island which closed last year It had a subway car in the middle of the dining room
Jason is a great guy, and his products (Rapido Trains) are top notch.
