The Historical Guide to North American Railroads, Third Edition
An excellent overview of North American Railroads that are no longer with us. Very quick and easy to find basic information on some of the more minor carriers without having to consult more specialist publications. The larger portrait format is a huge improvement in most repects (other than handiness) than the earlier edition. Maps are excellent and the photographs well-chosen and well-reproduced. I really applaud of the choice of cover photo, of one of the UP’s smaller locomotives. Shipping (to UK) was far quicker than the time quoted, which was most welcome.
