The HO scale Elkhorn Extension Clinchfield Railroad layout

Very nice Bob! Looks like a well done layout.

Great sound and smooth operation. Nice layout!

Very nice Clinchfield layout, thank you Bob for sharing the video.

Beutiful layout and wonderful scenery and details. Question how did he incorporate the wheel clicking sounds into the sound track?

these articles are great and pick me up when I,m getting
tired of working on my layout.
I need this little fix every now and then

thanks
bob

Very cool… ,love those signals! Bob

NICE! Very nice! I hope my layout will look and run that well one day.

Really captures the flavor of the area. Good sound too.

Thanks Bob, enjoyed the scenery, signals, consist and track work. Good job on weathering your engines and cars.

Positively inspirational!

Hi from Australia.
Very good video looks good.Gave me some good ideas for my ho railway which is being built.Like the CTC you hve on the layout and also the sound function on the locos.Hope to eventually incorporate them in my layout.

Colin.

Very entertaining video of a beautiful model railroad.
Thank you for sharing with other fellow model railroaders.

Thank you

We can run several trains at once during an OP session and any number of trains can be detected in whatever block they occupy. Centralized Traffic Control (CTC) allows the dispatcher to control train movements and make meets using the switch and automatic signal indications. The CTC system is running on Panel Pro in JMRI using Team Digital signal boards.

Very nice. Very smooth running train. Nice scenery and signal system I hope mine gets there soon.

Bob-

WOW…really felt like I was railfanning the CRR. In the mid 80’s, spent lots of time on the southern half of the Clinchfield (Green Mountain, Altapass and the Loops), but never made it up on the north end. Thanks to you, now I have!

I loved the shot of meeting the grey and yellow SD40’s along the river thru all those reverse curves, as well as the throttling down sequence under the coaling tower…but was hoping to hear those old F’s crank up the 567’s! Fantastic job of getting it all done - trains, scenery, and the “feel” of the CRR.

awesome

well done !!!
