I’m so sorry. I’m not Catholic, but I always liked that old fella, I really did. He said he was happy and had no fear of the here after. Rest in peace John Paul.

Nobody will be able to fill his shoes. We have been following it for the last 3 days on TV & COMPUTER. It was heartbreaking.
I am not a catholic but it is very sad and the prophecies say there are only 2 more Popes left.

I dont beleive in god, nor follow religon. But I do reconize the importance this man had on so many people.

John Paul II was a man of peace, that reached out to ALL peoples, no matter what their religion. It would be very disheartening to his memory guys, to attack each other on this forum…please, just take a moment, praise this man in your own way, whether on this forum or not. We don’t get too many people on this earth, who try so hard to get us to understand each other, and respect each other. He suffered because he wanted to show us the precious gift of life, to the very end. We will all come to this understanding one day, whether you believe it now or not.
Being Irish coming from parents who are Catholic and protestant I am sad to hear of the popes passing I will say a short prayer for him tonight before bed

Steamerfan is getting a taste of what trainluver1 did a couple of months ago when he brought up how he felt about religion on the forum… And for those of you that recall that, I want to once again apologize. I was in a bad mood that day, and regret ever opening such a topic. I deserved everything that was thrown at me.
I know it’s hard to do, but the best way to deal with members that are negative about things like this is to just ignore them and move on because the more you stir it the worse it gets.

excuse me? I’ve never brought my religious Views to these forums, I just know how religion can be a polorizing issue. and the mods are very specific when they say “don’t post anything Religous or Political”.
And i’m not saying the Pope was or wasn’t a good man, I’ve already seen several forums go to Hell, so to speak, over this topic. best to keep it to yourself or to a Religous Dedicated site.
