Take a look at ebay item #280300581101, and note the description. Somebody wants this item awfully bad. Did Lionel make gold-plated tell-tales?
The Tell-Tale is from the 3424 Wabash Walking Brakeman car. That is the first I have seen ever offered with a box.

Well heres the second one now the box isn’t as pretty in fact in fair condition at best but its about $180.00 less ebay item number 300284265215
So, I wonder what my Low Bridge Signal, less box, and Wabash Automatic Brakeman are worth? Not that I would sell them; I’m finally working on a layout that will use it at an underpass. When I was a kid, it was just an imaginary tunnel.
As we all know, there are some good deals at auction and some crazy bidders, too. It amazes me what some people will pay for an empty box.
