Yesterday the Fairmont, Morgantown and Pittsburgh division of the B&O had it last operations session. About 9 fellow model railroaders participated with about a total of 14 trains run in the 3 hour session. 2 passenger trains, 2 locals, and one M&K turn. A number of coal drags were seen. Overall this model railroad functioned as it was designed and I think eveyrone had a good time. A bunch of photographs were taken. I’ll try to post a few when I get them. It was a good layout but it is about to be history.
After the session ended, the buildings were either sold off or donated to the our model railroad club many of the cars and a few engines were sold. Soon, significant amounts of B&O and Western Maryland HO equipment will be showing up on ebay as funds will be needed to build the V&T or LV&T. - Nevin
