I am trying to do some marketing research. And I need some input. Which items that Walthers makes are the most popular right now? Like the Cornerston Series buildings, gold line cars etc. Give anyone give me any examples of specific walthers items ie. Clayton Lumber

Why would members of this forum have this knowledge? Maybe hobby shop owners would have an idea what sells in their shop, but what about the other shops.
I doubt that the one source for this info - Walthers - would tell you.

If I had to guess… which I do (have to guess that is)…
I would have to say that the most popular thing they make is their catalogs. Most everything else is something that someone else made…

I have some of their built up railroad structures and I like them. But my favorites are the heavyweight passenger cars.
Now all you need is another 999 replies and you will have enough unscientific data to draw some rough unfounded conclusions. Good Luck!
All any of us can do is tell you what we buy most but that doesn’t make it the most popular. For me, it is there structure kits. Some of these have been recycled from other manufacturers (i.e. their recently released synagogue which is an old Heljan kit). Others are originals. I like their kits because they have a large selection and there made for American layouts. Most of the other companies with a large selection have a lot of European looking buildings, not suitable for a US layout.
