Whats the most unique 3 rail car or accessory you have seen?
There are a lot of unique items in our hobby. One car in my collection that has always stood out is a KTM trolley, made in Japan during the 1960’s. Here’s a couple of pics:

Well, the most unique accessary I have ever seen is Gabe the Lamplighter, and the most unique car I have seen is the American flyer mail car where the car throws the mail out and picks up another bag. American Flyer had the coolest accessaries.
Whoops sorry, you ment three rail, well the only thing I can think of is the automatic gateman. Those things are pretty neat.

- The Marklin O gauge “train wreck” train - slam on the brakes and the individual car bumpers trip springs inside each of the passenger cars and parts and pieces of cars and passengers go everywhere. 2. The hanky waving woman on the back of the Marx observation car. Never made it to production but the two samples are really something to see.
I’ve got to give the nod to the Europeans when it comes to accessories. For a trackside accessory, I’ve always like the destination boards. German manufacturer’s Karl Bud and Bing have two I’ve seen.

For a building, I like Bing’s newstands…

And for a car, in honor of our winter season, I think tinplate snowplows are pretty unique (yes, I know Marx is U.S.)…

My favorite is the Lionel Hobby store. There are 3 working layouts,2 diesel and one steamer, and 11 people inside along with all sorts of hobby stuff hanging around. Everytime I look at the inside I find something new.

The Hobby Shop is neat and so is the Lionelville Ford Dealership with the revolving display platform inside.
I also have a personal preference for Mel’s Diner!!!
Love the snow plows!!! Hadn’t seen the Marx one yet! ![]()
This Marklin loco is one of my favorites…

but I don’t own one…YET!!!
Actually, I’m scratch building a few varieties of this. All in 1/32 scale…one in gauge 1 (same width track as G), one in meter gauge (same width track as O) and one in really narrow gauge on HO track.
