The K4Kid is back!
Had a very difficult time reregistering, kept me locked out and notified me I didn’t have current MR subscription when I did. About a half hour of persistence and I finally got back into the forum.
I like the changes, bergie you need to fine tune the reregistering problem, seems I’m not the only one who had trouble.
Anyway nice work on the new site!
I can’t type. It keeps beeping and highlighting stuff on the page whenever I type a different letter[:(!]

The A train is back. Had a confusing time trying to get back into the forum too. The site looks good.
No problems here just had to re-register.

Anyone notice the time being displayed on the messages? I wonder how it displayes time as PM when it is only 9:00 AM EDT. I do believe they have problems.
I tried to re-register as an existing user and it kept responding that my email was not in the list cound not be found and my password did not work. So I then went to the section to register as a subscriber but as a new web user and entered in my personal information, then it found and recognized my old forum ID and then I entered my password and it finally took.
Registration was a breeze for me.

It took a short time for the system to find me as I shred the mailing labels and didn’t know my subscriber #, but it was fairly smooth.
The only thing I don’t like at all is that the page number navigation appears ONLY at the bottom of the page and not both on the top ans bottom like the old forum.

Yeah, I had to fumble about for a couple of minutes to figure out which links to click to re-register, but it seems to have taken. (We’ll see if this actually posts…)
I think the new layout is quite an improvement - cleaner, easier to navigate.

Go to your update profile page and select your correct timezone.
Registration went as advertised for me. No problems.
It appears that most (not necessarily all) of those who had problems re-registering did not take time to read the email they received about re-registering. The process was a bit misleading IF you did not read the email. If you read it and followed it most people breezed right through it.

Once I read the email it was smooth sailing. The new look is very nice, but it will take some getting used too.

I had some difficulty too. The re-registration process was not very clear. I eventually managed to figure it out.

Hi bsteel4065 here, just scraped in under the fence I think. And yep, the logging on for the first time is odd. YES, I am a suscriber … I’m now a guest? Whatever. My, I can even smell the fresh paint in here. Is there an echo? Frightening to know I joined in 2001.

Well, being a crotchety old codger who doesn’t really like change all that much, the new format will take some getting used to. However, after I fumbled around a few times and finally re-read the email (when all else fails, RTFM!), I managed to get back on. I expect the start-up glitches will go away in time… [:)]
I do wish they’d left the preview as a pop-up or at least go to a new window/tab. I hate having to hit the “back” button all the time…
