The Learning Channel on their Mega Machines program last nite show off the 4400 HP 75 ft monster. Max speed is 70 MPH. Supposely one loco will easily pull 10,000 tons it said. It did not say if that is uphill though.
A lot of people dont like GE’s but I think they’re neat looking. I also like to see programs on TV about trains.
Well this was not a train program actually it is a program about very large machines of which they included this new loco. As a example after the loco story they had on a story of the Caterpillar big road grading machine. [:D]
Trains are cooler then Catililers, although they are HUGE
Yes I agree just that the next segment of the program was about the Catapillar road grader. The biggest machines I ever saw besides loco’s was at a John Deere dealership in Hinckle Or. Man those were real oversize pieces of machinery! [:D]
