[:)]Hello eveyone and Happy New Year 2009.
I learned a very sad news about the Amtrak’s Adirondack train. Well, the New York State Governor wants to cut in Amtrak’s Adirondack funds in 2009 and 2010 in a 2.5 millions of dollars.[:(]
It means that the Amtrak passenger rail link between New York City-Albany and finally Montreal will cease to exist in future. So,in the north of New York’s capitol from the Empire Service passenger rail link from Schenectady there’s is no Amtrak’s rail service to the north to Montreal included towns of Saratoga Springs,Fort Edward,Whitehall,Ticonderoga,Port Henry,Westport,Port Kent,Plattsburgh and Rouses Point will be excluded of Amtrak service.
Well,it’s too bad. Because this rail service is the ten most scenic rail journeys in the world according the Albany’s Times Union newspaper and according to the National Geographic Traveler Magazine that they said this New York City-Albany-Montreal passenger rail link is the most beautiful scenic rail link in the east of the Rocky Mountains in all North America.[:(]
