The Newark, Hoboken & Jersey City Railroad

Hello everyone. I’m new to the Forum. It looks like a great place to get some good model railroading information. With that said, I am in the process of constructing my railroad. I’m in O scale and of course my space is limited (wish I had a basement). I saw some information on a Model Railroad by the name of The Newark, Hoboken & Jersey City. This railroad is 3 rail O scale and was in the CTT layout contest. I don’t know the year it was in CTT, but if possible, I would like to get some additional information on this layout. The layout area is very close to the area I have available in my attic with a few alterations. I appreciate any information that is available. Thank you.

Hi Bob and welcome! Most of us on this forum are scale modelers into HO and N. You may want to click on the Trains.com Forums at the top and click on Classic Toy Trains forums. I’m sure you can get pretty good answers there. If on the other hand, if you’re into Scale O as opposed to toy or tinplate O this is the place for all your answers on benchwork, wiring, scenery questions for sure…Good Luck and have fun!

Matt,

Oops, My bad. Somehow I guess I hit the wrong tab. I appreciate the redirection. I will come back from time to time for the great ideas you scalers have.

Bob

Thank you for the links. I appreciate your help.

You’re certainly [#welcome] ! Stop back anytime…We’ll do our best to persuade you to venture into the world of scale model railroading! Come to think of it, now I gotta build a standard gauge scale railroad next…anybody got a spare warehouse so I can run this loco?..

Guess I gotta do a lot of modifications to make this prototypical!

And even more modifications to the rolling stock![(-D]

Oh well…Back to HO I go!
