- One of my last postings before problems on access arose was on the simplification of the elevated Queensboro Plaza IRT-BMT 8-track stastion to four tracks. Included in that posting is a photo of BMT Q-Types’ IRT-Access from Astoria reversing on the Queens Queensboro Bridge approach, some tracks restored as a termporary measure. I’ve now produced a version edited tyo depict a v iuew I saw often, but never photographed, a 2nd-Avenue Elevated train exiting the Bridge. That service ended in 1942 when I was ten.
