Back in the late 50’s and very early 60’s, I had an uncle who was a conductor for the Jersey Central. Frequently during the summers he would take me with him on various runs into eastern PA. I remember so well, he would let me ride in the mail car and help me pile up mail bags to recline on. I’d leave the big side door open so I could watch the countryside go by. Once, I even got to ride for a time in the loco. I was wondering if there might be some old Jersey Central memorbilia around or has it all gone to the scrap heap long ago?
