Only five? Slackers.

I’ll have to say with the nice weather that seems to be everywhere, I’ve been rather busy myself with all kinds of things except trains.
My wife has really wanted a small gazebo and finally decided on where she would like it placed. So that resulted in a fair bit of work between removing the layer of weeds and grass that I was using as ground cover in that area, pouring a few footers for it to sit on, putting down some weed barrier then a little sand, just about 1 cubic yard, and just a couple hundred cement blocks.[|)]
Since then the Alpacas I have decided they really want to get shaved cause it’s too hot, and they need to once a year anyway. So that has caused me to make a table for that since I can only stand to be working on my knees for so long at a time.[xx(]
Being summer it’s also the time of year to get hay in for the year and I’ve got one ton so far only 4 more to go and then I’m set [:0]
Other than that I’ve been trying to catch my breath [:D]
Take care all,
Jack
Hey Jack
Gazebo looks great. But I was intrigued by the Alpacas. Do you have many? I did not know much about them, just had to read up on the web about them. Apparently only introduced into the US 20years ago.
All the best
Ian
I wondered about this as well Ian and Jack.
I read this link and am now the Betts family expert on Llama type fluffy things.[^]

Could’nt find anywhere that mentioned what they taste like though.
Jack.I love the garden addition.Does the wife sit in the shade and point the the bits she wants you to work on?
My summer has been Fire Department and trains. The first set of train pics is from when I went to the B&O RR museum. The fire pics are from a training we had and the last picture is from the new HO layout I am building.

Ian and Troy,
We have 4 of the fuzzy Llama type animals. Definately something different to see.
So here are some pictures;
An unshaved alpaca
A shaved alpaca
and shaved mom and baby
Troy, you would have to look into southamerican websites on them to possible hear about what they taste like. [;)]
