For those who aren’t aware of it, The Onion is a weekly satirical newspaper. This means that it is not to be taken seriously, unlike Dan Harmon.
You can find their tips for Improving Amtrak at http://www.theonion.com/infograph/index.php?issue=4118.
One suggestion: Replacing old, worn tracks with tarmac and adding wings to all cars.
Steering wheel? That was amusing.
“Reminding American’s that making trains run on time is the first step to facisim”
LMAO
I found the wings and the tarmac most amusing. Poor Amtrak. It really is quite sad . . .
And be honest - how many of you looked to the right in the website before you even glanced at the “real” article on the left!
[:O][}:)]
Would we call this “the Mussilini Effect”? [;)][:D][:o)]
That is a great piece of satire.
My personal favorite is “Popularizing the Seven-Feet-High Club.”
Good point[;)]
And the view to the right wasn’t bad either!
I knew that there was a reason that the Onion is called “The Nation’s Finest News Source”. I used to read the Onion every Thursday while I was at CU, but now that I have a real job I have missed the last few months…what a pitty…
I think the gurdrails was valid. [:p]

Does that mean that if I’m waiting for a train and it’s really late which causes me to loose my job eventually, I should be happy because we still are a democracy?[:D]

Jeepers, where I come from I thought it had been popular for years.

lol, showing what a metroliner can do to an suv. lol, i’d love to see that. I saw on tv that they used a CP Rail train to run into a truck to show the dangers of trying to beat the train.
Good, I’m glad somebody posted this…
Kinda-sorta reminds me of our Redneck hero, “Earl Pitts”. www.earlpitts.us
