The Operators video: Using Digital Command Control (DCC) sound realistically
Sensational stuff - this is exactly the type of thing we all do, or aspire to do. And so simple - a few cars, some switches, and a sound-equipped locomotive. Something within the financial reach of the great majority of us.
Who could ask for anyting more…
Thanks, Andy.

Great little video Andy, thanks for sharing this. Being new to the hobby after 30+ years away from it, what is the tool you used in the video to uncouple the locomotive? Thanks.
Eventually I will build a layout. So far I’m a faithful MR reader and armchair modeler!!
Good job thanks.

Andy did a great presentation.
Thanks for an excellent demonstration of not only the sound, but the switching techniques and scale speed acceleration.
Very good demo Andy - the sounds are exactly what I would like to acheive.
Well done would like to see more on sound decoder operation.
Learned a lot about the warnings and the realistic way to use sound to improve the operation of my future RR.
Great demo but next time can you find Andy a Denver Bronco shirt?
Great sounds.
Neat prototypical operations, not crazy about the Raiders shirt, Go Chargers!
Great video. I would like to know more about the tool that Andy used to uncouple the cars and the technique that made uncoupling so easy.
That Beerline looks fantastic. The operation was very nice to see.

I have never filmed any kind of a video, and maybe I am oversensitive but why do these modelrailroad engines look jerky ? I enjoyed Andy’s video and hope to see more.
This video is why we think that this is the Worlds Greatest Hobby.Thank You
Andy, it was terrific. It is interesting that MR has added the feature regarding operations. The articles have been excellent. I have friends who have commented to me how they would like to see the Operations method (car cards using “x” method to create, switch lists, computer program “y” to create car cards and/or switch lists, etc.) added to the box that accompanies each layout article in MR. I agree this would be an interesting addition. The last few years MR has added the DCC system used, and this would follow on with the increase in the populariity of Operations.
Keep up the good work.

I KNEW there was another reason to like Andy; he’s a Raider fan!!
I’ve also got a sound-fitted Alco, and it’s great to do just this sort of shunting. It’s even more fun having magnetic uncouplers and power-operated points. The tips on how to treat a grade crossing are really helpful too. Thanks Andy!
