i too am/was a frequent visitor at “the other forum”.
but now the other forum seems to be a place for complaining about the forum.
i pray that the members and posters in this forum are interested in trains and not as interested in complaining, flaming and nitpicking and making a post wicked long with and providing more personal opinion and vinegar than necessary. [V]
i like trains. [:D][8D][:p][:)][:I][;)][^][;)][:D][:)][:p][8D]
i like to read about them.
i like to see them.
i like to hear about what you did with your trains.
i’m not embarrassed to say it.
I LIKE TRAINS
i hope you do to.[^]
I agree with you, I have made an effort at ORG not to fan the flames. I will say no more than that. Let’s all talk trains and help each other improve our layouts an train collections. JIM
Good to see your post. I often would read yours on the OGR site because, if I remember right, you’re in Roanoke, where I was born. Right now this looks like a good place for good information on model trains of all types. Hope it stays that way.
and besides… as our friends timon and pumba would say…
(can you tell i have youngsters)[;)]
“ya gotta leave your past in your behind,… hakuna-matata”[:D]
Un fortunately it’s human nature…but it’s also human nature to move on. I agree. We as a train community are much bigger than that. I have a lot of friends there and here and will keep it that way.
i have found that sometimes someone would make an innocent statement and it would be turned into a “flame”. One large scale site was decimated because it got into scale wars. Keeping it peacful will be a big part of this transitional period of the CTT site.[:)]
