Although it is beautiful, I’m afraid not. I live about 15 minutes from Harpers Ferry, WV. The main problem is that the town centers around tourists, but it is not really big enough for the tourists. Parking is a problem for residents. If you live there, you simply can’t escape it.
All that said, I love the place. Even for those not into railroading, it is beautiful spot.
Just watch the first step out the back door, IT’S A PIP!!!

Hey, some of my best friends are railfans.
