It would be a nice courtesy for folks who change their post titles or other information to acknowledge it was changed, otherwise, my reply looks meaningless. Perhaps Joe left the pot of coffee on too long and it burned down the house?
Some bad news. I owe the IRS lots of money. I’ve mailed a letter to them asking that they quit spamming me and soliciting me with auditors. In turn, I will stop sending them junk mail forms and perhaps we both will be happier.
In other bad news, I have to go to the dentist on Monday, and spend more valuable toy train money on teeth. And wouldn’t you know it, but my insurance doesn’t cover any of the work that needs to be done. A rip-off, if you tell me.
Been busy at work so will try to drop a note on Tuesday, out Wednesday, and back for more coffee on Thursday.
The trees are starting to turn green here and the Beagle is sniffing out rabbits in the thickets. I might take her fishing with me. She loves to eat her fish raw. Also, the circades (did I spell that correctly), will soon make their once-every 17 year appearance. I understand you can either cook them or eat them raw. I might try eating them raw. Good source of protein.
Sorry to hear all that Dave, I may have to drag out a couple of old topics just to keep the train rolling.
I suspect the Yorkies will have things to say as they return from the fields with freshly picked trains. Pockets empty, but arms full, all with gloating smiles.[swg]
Coffee just before bed is a no-no, unless it’s a double de-caf mocha tall…oops, sorry, guess my West Coast roots are showing… Anyway, I’ve got 3 rooms in my house under the scrapper’s torch (remodeling). Looks like we’re a go for painting on Monday, then cabinets on Wednesday. Hopefully I can get all this stored furniture out of my train room (= garage) in a few weeks. yay!
Well it is Saturday morning and my fishing buddy is in the hospital. I guess I’ll clean the garage and wa***he Jeep. It is supposed to be in the high 70s today in Roger’s Corners, Ohio. I can hear the faint sounds of the train horns from the Ohio Central as the sun breaks the horizon.
Have a good day!! (That’s Yankee for “Yiz have a Goodin.”)
I can’t believe it, another great day in NE Ohio. High is going to be 78 deg with sunny skies. I an glad the spring has come, now I have to cut the grass today. Just last week we had snow.
Well the K-line Hudson is at the station to pick up Buckeye to go fishing and maybe stop at Willoughby.
Well I see one Yankee buddy is up and going. About time. Off to BPS for a long day of watching. No short shorts and tank tops like Orlando [oh, I’m not suppose to see that]. Hope all have a great day. Buckey, can not believe you did not take buddy’s boat and go. I’m sure he would have felt better when you came back and told him the fish stories. God bless all.
Still pretty sleepy today. Don’t expect too much to happen here with York going on and nice weather in many parts of the country.
I have an interesting day planned, I get to meet Big Girl’s dad for the first time. Big Girl and I have been together for a little over a year now.
There is also an outside chance that I could go to the big train store here. I haven’t visited that place in almost 2 years!!! I’m not sure why I want to bother, I really don’t have any money to spend.
Don’t forget that show on HGTV this afternoon, Whistle Stop Gardens 5PM EDT.[:D][8D]
Spanky,
Why would I or for that matter anyone else want a Cleveland Indians boxcar? When people visit my layout I don’t want them to pity me or break out in uncontrollable laughter.
Well someone has to feel sorry for us. I have been the Jac a few times over the years, back when we had a better team. Now they have all gone and still doing quite well.
Last year we went to the Indian Single A farm team in Eastlake, Ohio. That stadium is less than a mile from my home. It’s a good club and a lot of fun. They have fireworks after every Friday home game which I can see from my back yard.
Amtrak Jack, you are in my prayers. [:D][:D][:D][:D] When I worked in Gary, Indiana I used to listen to the Cubbies everyday. Jack Brickhouse was one of the all time greatest announcers.
Well, getting ready for bed. Power went off in half of Savannah at 7:00PM. Not at BPS. Came to motel at 9 and it was still off. Went to seafood restaurant in edge of Savannah that had lights. Get my sweet tea and orderd and the lights went out there. Finally came on at 11:00 PM. Major phu phu. Sleep late tomorrow as do not have to get in to BPS until 10 or so. Sleep tight and don’t let the whisle wake you. OH, Spanky, do you ever stay home? Called this AM and got your wife. Called tonight and got ring ring ring. [:)] God bless you all.
