The Return of the N&W Virginia Creeper!

Back by popular demand, Lerro Productions ran a special Fall season recreation of the famous Virginia Creeper from the Abingdon Branh of the N&W (made famous by O’Winston Link).

Strasburg’s former N&W #475 played the part dressed as N&W #382 for a series of photos both before and after the regular tourist trains along with a night photo session.

Here are a sampling of photos:

Great pics Mitch… Most enjoyable, thanks indeed.

Very nicely composed and metered. I like the angles and lighting. Nice steamer.

VERY NICE!

WHAT AN ENJOYABLE VISIT! [8D]

Stunning!I loved all the shots you have.

Thanks all - your compliments, most welcome. It was a great charter, shooting around the regular train at Sunrise, sunset and night time.

Route-Rock - you are at 1218 posts! Ironic!

Great pics!!! Brings back memories of a day in May 1957 that I spent “chasing” the Abingdon - Damascus mixed train. The 4-8-0 fascinated me as I had never seen one before and it and its train were a throw back to earlier times.
