I was encouraged that your guests both would choose early 1900’s to model. My Saratoga and North Creek RR is a branch line of the old D&H circa 1900-1920. I find this period more interesting than any other.
I enjoyed this episode the most so far. The 1800s don’t seem to get much modelling action either, I suspect because photographs and other information are harder to come by.
No one commented on the food! Mine would be Southern BBQ! Rail fanning northeast of Spencer,NC and Linwood Yard! Up and down I-85 plenty of great BBQ joints!
Love the conversation on favorite RR related movies. Also interesting how in this video and one or two I watched, an era to model would be early 1900’s. Curious if anyone would consider the 1860-65 era. Maybe in a future conversation.
