Nice episode. These guys have so much to say that you need to have them back again. Those were interesting topics and the responses were well phrased.
I love Roundhouse, hate the timer. Just when things get interesting, DING! How about a fifteen minute Model Railroad talk show format. The current format seems too constrained. Enjoying MR Video Plus very much on my iPad. Keep up the great work.
Another good roundhouse. Still wish the rounds were 3 minutes instead of 2 and that the timer didn’t start until the question was asked.
For me, W. Allen McClelland and his V&O and John Allen’s G&D were highly inspirational for me in the mid 1980s too.
Since I’m a tekkie, my volt-ohm-meter has been indispensable when wiring my layout. It became more indispensable when I converted to DCC a couple years ago.
By all means, get rid of the timer and lengthen the program by an extra five minutes or so. Other than that Video Plus gets a high Five!
Great Episode…made me think of the Gorre and Depheid and starring at it for days in Model Railroad and dreaming what I could build in my parents small apartment…one of the inspirations for buying a house with a base in later years…
I totally agree that between the computer and the Internet, they can be priceless tools in so many ways! From designing, research, layout/scenery design, ordering products, model Railroading articles and ads, etc,etc.
I’ve used my IPad/ desk top PC more in the last several years in my hobby more than ever…so yes, that would be my indispensable tool for my hobby also!
