What’s the route going to be for the dome train scheduled to go between Chicago and Quincy IL? I assume it’s going to be the BNSF line
I was wondering the same thing after seeing the note on the news wire on this site…I would like to be trackside to see it come through but there didn’t seem to be any information on this train on the link provided in the news item yesterday. Date, timing and route would be appreciated here as well. Thanks
Best Guess it’ll be going on the BNSF through Joliet or something.
If going to Qiuncy, the ex-CB&Q line via Aurora-Galesburg-Quincy. They could also take the ex-ATSF line, but would have to double back on the Cameron cutoff to Galesburg, and then to Quincy, IL. I would suspect an all ex-CB&Q route from CUS to Quincy would work out best.
