The story of the missing part that ,,COULD

Long long ago , this is train related.

An engine came back into the shop with a missing part. A search party was sent out to find the part.
But the part was not found.
About a year later the engine was repainted and the missing part was not replaced.
Months later the missing part was found, but because it was a different color know one knew it or where it belonged, thus it was set aside.

Still months later the repainted engine was being worked on and the crazy old man suddenly remember there was a missing part, but where was it??
The part was missing again!!![:(]

Finally after about two years the repainted engine and its missing part was reunited.
And the part, well its NOT missing any longer[^][8D]

I do believe you’re getting cabin fever…

You see we have another conscript to the Battery Cult?

I mailed the thing to him so he’d have it before he left…he thinks he has to put it on the tracks…all he needs is a kitchen floor, NO tracks!

He’ll learn.
He’s new.

Marty, you need to move away from all that snow. You’re getting brain freeze.

Hey all,

All that matters now is that whatever was missing is no longer missing. Unless of course what was missing caused everything else to go amiss as a result. Then the reunion may no longer be a happy reunion but a mess of missing lookers now brought together to see the mess the missing part brought about. The only happy one would be the engine who is no longer missing anything but the colour it once was. The missing part was probably confused since the engine missing the part gone amiss looked nothing like the missing part remembered. Sadly the missing part probably needed therapy to cope with the fact that the engine had undergone a new identity without consulting the part that was amiss. Missing his past the missing part felt compelled to undergo the same changes as the loco. This of course was recommended by his therapist who is also now missing himself. The therapist you guessed is actually the old man who is also missing part of his memory since he forgot who the missing part belonged to or the fact that it was missing in the first place. In the end the missing part that “Could”…did what he should, he remained where he came from only looking a little different in colour. All that remains now is the missing part feeling happy that he was missed and is no longer missing. Think Marty has Cabin fever??? [D)] Later eh…Brian. [:D]

It’s 65 degrees today. Both you guys are welcome to stay with me until your brains thaw.
Marty, you need to go out and shoot an elk.
Bman, you need to go shoot a moose.
I’m going out on this warm day to shoot a deer.[angel]

I’ll tell you a story of four guys named Anybody, Nobody, Everybody and Somebody. The job was easy, Anybody could have done it. Everybody thought Somebody was going to do it. But in the end, Nobody did it.

T-J

You forgot the last line.

Since nobody did it, the bridge collapsed and killed everyone on the train.

This IS a true story. I only shared it because of all the other corny post that keep showing up on here. I was tring to ,fit in.[:I]

The part was the from RH hand, front hand rail on my GN 410 SD-45 that was repainted to C&NW.
Sometimes I wonder if any of do work on your trains.[:o)][;)]

Sure we do, just as soon as we found all the missing parts and remember where they belong. [:0][;)][:)][:)] [:D][:D]

Nah.
Never do.
And, according to one wag, I don’t even have a railroad (in addition to being a paranoid egomaniac).
I suppose the GN 2-8-8-2 running in the rain tonight was an apparition…

Must have been “a dark and stormy night” [;)][:)][:)] on your “virtual railroad” [:o)][:o)][:)].

No need for me to work on any of my rolling stock, never had a problem with my USAT, Aristo or B’;mann. [:D]

I am converting an Annie to Batt/RC, just as soon as I finish I’ll post an article, plus my new bridge is nearing completion as well as a repaint of selected rolling stock into the “Dixie D” colors (colours for your Euros)

Look out he’s starting to turn senial!

Those touching reunion stories always bring a tear[swg]
