The Train Patch Idea...

Everyone must get way too many emails about patches…

What would a Train Patch do?

Make N or HO Scale trains into O or Large Scale!
(savings on large scale)

Make those Neat HO offerings into N scale!
(weight loss/size reduction)

Break that model train addiction!!
(Stop getting a “Fix” of expensive new locos, cars, every month)

(tongue planted firmly in cheek - we have to have a sense of ironic humor)

I thought it was a hobby.
The train-patch would give you a 3-D Reality program, placing you in the locomotive…either that, or it would stop you from buying model r/r stuff (can’t see a big market in that though)

Sounds like it would either…

Break you of the habit of railfanning, especially at inappropriate times, like on the way to the hospital (see: http://www.trains.com/community/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=8083 ), or

Fix a known problem, like fan/exhaust hoods that are too small.

…The smell of creosote and oil, time-released over 18 hours to give you that trackside feeling all day long!

Sold as a diet supplement to avoid FDA hurdles, of course…

The Train Patch would ensure that all of the track (on your layout) was effortlessly cleaned/lightly lubed – just prior to any impulse (you might have) to run your trains !

Not sure about the patch, but the wife has
fitted me with an ankle monitor to know if I am
at the local train shop spending money. The
other deterrent for me is my 4 year old “informant”
child who tells EVERYTHING to my wife. A patch
would be a whole lot easier on my life. I might
actually like it.

A steam patch for your arm will supply with steam sounds and smells to your senses. An overdose will render you decades back and may take some medical and mental assistance to get back to reality.

You know you really got it bad when you leave the E units idiling next to your bed to lull you into sleep. At night.

I don’t often laugh out loud at the posts, but that is really funny!! [:)]

We don’t want a patch to help you get rid of a train addiction! That would be awful! We should have a patch that helps those non-train enthusiasts to become interested in trains instead!
