What is the best way to have a layout for a YouTube channel?
I was expecting a thread about model railroads on Mandalor…
If I may; build a layout because you want to and because you enjoy it, not for views on YouTube. Build a layout that you have the room and budget for, and then you can make videos on YouTube about it.
A good camera and good lighting. You don’t want to make videos that look like they were filmed in a dungeon using a potato for a camera. I myself don’t have a layout ready for prime time yet but I have watched plenty of videos over the years. Some of the best model railroad YouTube channels I’ve seen are Terrell Howard, CRSteve, and IMRROcom model trains.
Thank you
A few years ago there was a layout in Germany that had a live feed and there were two trains on it. If you clicked on the links provided you could make one or both trains do a loop around the layout which took a couple of minutes.
It was sometimes hard to get a turn as it was popular, but I would get on easily late in the evenings from the West Coast of Canada as it would then be the middle of the night for others.
Nice.
