They sure have come a long way, haven’t they
That was back in the day when my computer was powered by my dog on a treadmill, I’ve since been able to upgrade to an ex-Kansas farm windmill hooked up via a very long bike chain to a generator, Yes we have come along way, havent we…
I remember those days…
those were glory days.
I wonder who had the first RR related fan forum on the internet… I assume it would have probably been a BBS.

A lot of “other” forums are still formatted in the old way,where you have to click on each response and are generally hard to navigate.This one wins hands down for format,subjects, and people.
Dave,
As I remember, some of the first forums where, Railroad.rec, Prodigy railroad forum, Compuserve railroad forum. All of these active during 1992.

AS time changes… tick tock /…tick tock…THINGS CHANGE. Sometimes changes is scary but, as most of the responces above say… We’ve come a long way haven’t we?
Trains were MUCH more interesting when they still had cabooses;
let alone the forums. [:D]
What was the inaugeration date of this forum?This November,I will have been on here 2 years[:)].
COOL picture, Vic! Did you get it off the internet or somewhere else we could find it?

CompuServe and Prodigy… Geez, that brings back some memories.
BTW… I think the forums were better back when they still had Firemen. Oh wait… That’s something different.

It does cut down on the BS posting though. Takes a little more effort to read and post.
