Theme announcement: Trackside with Trains v. 166 — Dark Sky

Congrats to Trains magazine reader Justin Franz for winning vol. 165 of Trackside with his impressive “Bird’s Eye View” shot from atop Mt. Sentinel overlooking Missoula and Montana Rail Link’s yard.

The theme for volume 166 of Trackside with Trains is: Dark Sky.

The deadline for volume 166 reader submissions is Thursday, June 2.

All submissions must meet the following criteria, please use this list as a checklist before you send in your image:

  • Image must be relevant to the round’s theme.
  • Only .jpgs will be accepted. PLEASE NO SCANS, only digital image. Images must be no larger than 1024 pixels wide.
  • E-mail your image to trackside@trains.com. Any image e-mailed to a different address will not be considered.
  • When you e-mail your photo, please make the subject line: “Trackside vol. XXX submission.” For example, this round is volume 166, so the e-mail subject line should read, “Trackside vol. 166 submission”
  • Images must be received by the deadline stated in each round’s theme announcement.
  • Your image must have a description. Please limit the description to 200 words or less. Include relevant camera and photo details in your description. View previous “Trackside with Trains.com” rounds for examples.
  • Please include your full name and hometown with your submission.

Finally, remember, this is a friendly competition. Participants do not receive compensation. Winners do not receive prizes.

But I am missing something. [:^)] How do I get to the forum that pertains to each of the more recent Tracksides? There used to be a link to the forum from the Trackside volume.

Searching for it does not seem to bring up what I’m looking for.

Found alternatives. Search our Community found it, & I could have looked a the discussions in my profile. [#oops]

I am sure though that there used to be a link direct to the forum? Or am I imagining it. [*-)]
