Their method of distribution would be a pain if you wanted to get your layout up and running in a reasonable amount of time. However, for my son, it gave him something to give me for Christmas, Fathers Day and birthday for a couple of years.
Mine is the 2004 Red Sox World Series. They added another car when they won again a few years later.

Along with those Star Wars trains, you can throw in the “Elvis Keepsake Glass Guitar Pick” or the “George Harrison Replica Hairpiece”, etc. I see thus stuff at garage sales in my neighborhood, in local buy-sell-swap magazines that are delivered free in the mailbox, and most notoriously, at railroad swap meets and flea markets, where it is always " under the table" gathering dust until Grandpa picks it up for his grandchildren.
