there are two new railroads in town

the two new railroads in town are the bay line in panama city fl,and
the mount hood railroad.

Nice, what engines do they have? Anything interesting?
Matthew

Cool. Are they using newer or older engines, such as the ALCos?

Those train pix are marvelous. Where does CSX have triple-track to run on?

mount hood is using gp 38-2
the bay line is using gp-15 and gp 38

the bay line did have 1 rs-1 alco type locomotive and they donated to the jr. museun of bay county.

wi***hey would use it in service. those ALCos sound great.

i agree.[:)][:)]

With the Bay Line in Panama City FL, and the Mount Hood Railroad in Hood River OR.how are both railroads in the same town? or are there two Mount Hood Railroads[%-)]

Great info!!! always good to see new blood in the freight business[^][^]>>glennbob

it just a saying

I’m not sure what you mean by “new railroads in town”. The Bay Line in Florida is actually the Atlanta & St. Andrews Bay. My earliest knowledge of it goes back to the early 1950’s when it still operated a passenger train with a through Pullman from Panama City to Atlanta via a connection with the CofG IIRC. The Bay Line dated back to probably the 1890’s though it may not always been known by that name.
