Things to see in south Devon

If you get the chance to go to South Devon in the UK go to Torquey, it’s a very nice place to stay and there is tons of stuff to see within 25 miles, here are some of the things i saw last week on my vacation
Below, the view from our room across the bay looking south west

The Painton & Dartmouth railway is well worth a visit, trains run along the coastline

the car ferry across the River Dart at Dartmouth

the Babbacombe cliff railway is worth a visit, it’s a counterbalance operated thing, one goes up the other comes down

visit the Golden Hind in Brixham harbour

And you can’t miss the Babbacombe model village, at night it’s all lit up

if it rains you can venture down the caves in Torquey, Kents Cavern is one of the oldest inhabited caves in the UK

You can get to and from Torquey from anywhere in the UK on modern trains
