[#ditto] I hear ya!
I changed from HO to N about April last year… I inherited an N scale logging layout built for my late Dad as Christmas present. It is 2x4ft to fit in the back of his "93 Corolla. I just started doing little scenery tune ups here and there… next thing I know, I’ve rebuilt the steel trestle, installed lots of real rocks, twigs and debris… I wanted to shrink down and explore…Just like Mr Selios says in vid #1…
Dad’s little Lifelike SW1500 ran like a swiss watch,so I’d just let it run around and around… Railfanning with my digital camera.
I’ve recycled the HO benchwork into new sections for the N. Lots more railroad into lots less space.
When I want to get big… I go out into my backyard and run some F scale for a while.
Nothing beats the fishies in the pond, the breeze blowing and solid clickety clacks!
I have thought about N. Hear are my hangups: I AM running DCC WITH sound. I think N scale is pretty limited. Someone correct me if I’m wrong. I’m going to build an HO logging layout with Shays. I ain’t seen nuthin for sound in an N scale Shay.
