I read that as CA ages, it thickens and takes longer to cure. Does anyone know of a way to thin it back down? Or is it just a matter of toss it and get another bottle?
I’d say toss it – I’ve never heard of anything that can be used to thin it. I keep it in the refrigerator, which prolongs its usable life.
I’ve read advice from more than one source to buy the cheapest CA you can find because the expensive stuff is no better than the cheap one, and having to toss out a half-used tube is no big loss.
You can thin it with Acetone, which is available in hardware stores.

I keep mine in the freezer. I have had one bottle that lasted for a year or more. I let it warm back up before using it, and just about always use an accelerator.
I keep acetone on hand, anyway, for cleaning. I’ll add a little to the bottle, then test on something before actually using it on a project. Thanks, Greg.
