ballast fairy !
Oy! Once you drive the golden spike. the ballast fairy should come in and finish off your track work by layin it out and cement in it down for you.
Well, I’ve been looking for the “ballast fairy” too. Never has shown up yet!
The “workcrew fairies” show up at night when I’m gone and leave my tools scattered and even hide some of them!!! Leave building materials, etc scattered all over the layout and all over the train room floor, so I spend more time cleaning up and looking for “lost tools”.
Maybe I need to teach them a little about NEATNESS and PUTTING THINGS AWAY when you’re done with them!

I had one for a while, but the fairy forgot to “Blue Flag” the work area, then the local came through…Had to finish the ballast myself…
