Just to keep the thread up in the ranks…
I did chat with her the other night - sounds like things are going well. She’s completed training is some areas, is still learning in others. Pretty multi-faceted job…

Hey, thanks for asking.
So far, so good…I finished training last week on the jitney driver job, and this week I had a safety class and am now training on the (don’t laugh) outside janitor job. After that I will eventually be trained on the inside janitor job and then the desk.
(Inside janitor is responsible for the big yard office building, outside janitor is responsible for many of the other outlying buildings in the yard. The desk is responsible for dispatching the jitneys around the yard, etc.)

That sounds like an interesting job.
What’s even more interesting is I’ve never heard the term “jitney” before.
Looks like I’ve learned another new word, though I doubt anyone in my neck of the woods will know what I’m talking about.
