This is How We Do The Polar Express...

Check the photo album. I’m the conductor with the brakeman’s lantern and helping the kiddies off the train.

You sure “clean-up” nice, Mr. Conductor.

Great pics, just one itty-bitty complaint…no shots of the head-end power. Was it Vermont Railway’s shiny red GP40?

As always, thanks for sharing. And I know it’s a little early, but Merry Christmas from my family to yours.

Cool!

Kooljock…A great event for the children. Thank you for sharing the photos.

Nice photos…Looks like everyone had a great time!

Usually they do use a shiny red engine, which along with the green cars makes for a very Christmassy train. But the Vermont Rail System was simultaneously running passenger specials in Bellows Falls and White River Junction AND switching the VTR yard in Burlington! So we ended up with a former Springfield Terminal engine in battleship grey with orange stripe and “VTR” crudely stenciled on the cab sides!

They did run it long-hood forward, so consider it an attempt to be an honorary steam loco…

Merry Christmas to you and your lovely wife!
