I knew Bachmann had taken over Liliput, Williams, Graham Farish and a couple of others, but it seems Bachmann also either owns or has an interest in:
Aristocraft, Woodland Scenics, Mehano (IHC, anyone?)

i can’t really tell from the site but i suspect Bachmann.uk is the distributer in the UK for those products , just like Walthers is the US distributer for many products .
it’s interesting though … even if you decide not to buy any bachmann products you can still end up putting money in their pockets when you buy other products
That IS interesting. Same locos as IHC with different couplers and pizza cutters. They even list a Hudson with sound. I notice most of them are out of stock too.
Probably just a distributor. I note that they are selling virtually the entire Mehano range, whereas IHC really only imports the US prototype models. I don’t have an ad in front of me, but I recall that for the longest time IHC ads carried the disclaimer “only available in the US” which implies that IHC only has US distribution rights. A quick check of the IHC web site and I can’t see any mention of the disclaimer. Several of the Premier series steamers are on sale at the moment. Consolidations for $59.00 which is IMO a good deal on these basic but decent locos.
It’s also interesting that Bachmann sells O scale brass locomotives in the UK.
