here goes anyhow. I just discovered that the ultra fine tipped Sharpie Markers are great for creating gang and grafitti tagger-type markings on railcars, structures, etc… Has anyone else used this, or a similar method of creating individuality on your layouts? Sorry about not having any pics of my own work, as my MSNTV2 is too limited in capability to post pics.
Yes, I have done this also. I don’t think I have any pictures, but I will have to look.
Fine tipped sharpies are great for lots of things, even making signs, if you can write small and neat enough.
There’s the rub, and to a lesser extent, graffiti is an artform some like me don’t really understand. Anything I do would end up as Sharpies on a traincar…
True, but I find the computer printer to be much better if you need neat lettering.
Not to take away from the fine-tipped Sharpie, though. I have 8 assorted colors.
OK, OK, I’ve been out of the loop for a while, what does ''prolly" mean, is it like LOL and all those other mindless abreviations?
Misspelling of “probably”.
I think it’s Philadelphian for probably
Leas thas wha Cholly toll me
Yeah, it’s an abusement of “Problably” Don’t know where I’ve first seen it, I don’t think it’s so Phildephian. I’ve even (heard others) said it aloud.
“prolly” is an abbreviation of “probably” easier to type when on a count limited smart phone. The also tend to leave some vowels out to save space and letter count.
It has nothing to witha regional dialect, but rather a high tech dialect, of sorts.
